North Carolina Summer Camps for Boys

WHAT A DAY!!! BOY AM I ENTHUSIASTIC!!! The overall purpose of Camp Carolina is to make a boy's summer experience safe, fun, memorable and a valuable factor in his complete development. The key to camp is the staff. A counselor's most important characteristic is being a positive role model.

We offer TRADITIONAL in camp activities and HIGH ADVENTURE in a noncompetitive atmosphere. Activities include: mountain boarding, mountain biking, caving, wakeboarding, paintball, rock climbing, skateboarding, horseback, rafting, kayaking, surfing, yoga, archery/Rifelry and many more fun and exciting activities. An awesome experience for boys at our traditional North Carolina summer camp. Surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest our wholesome, trained and dedicated staff help in developing lifetime friendships and skills in many activities! Chosatonga maintains a 3:1 staff to camper ratio with some of the most wholesome and awesome staff on the face of the earth!

Activities include: Rock climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, whitewater canoeing and kayaking, archery, arts & crafts, guitar, fishing & more. We have fun, adventures, and teach rich and wonderful skills

Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains at an elevation of 2300 feet, we offer traditional summer camp programs with an emphasis on outdoor adventure and fun. Girls - 2 & 4 week sessions in June; Boys - 2, 4, & 6 week sessions- July & August. 4 to 1 camper to staff ratio. Carefully selected, qualified and responsible counselors. Emphasis on skills development, social development, and spiritual development.

Outstanding facilities - 40 foot climbing tower, two craft shops, six tennis courts, game room, mountain biking, gymnasium, two horseback rings, the "blob," 30 acre lake, kayaking, & water skiing.

A small camp for 140 boys emphasizing outdoor adventure in a non-competitive atmosphere. Campers choose their own schedule and then build skills to increase self confidence. High Rocks is a place for fun and learning, for challenge and adventure, and for living in an environment that is geared to a camper's needs and interests. Aided by a well-trained staff we seek to teach and to inspire lasting skills and values. We offer ongoing opportunities for success, a freedom from inhibiting competitive pressure, and daily instruction in activities which promote rapid development of skills, an increased self-esteem, and a sense of community.

Activities include: Rock climbing, lake and whitewater canoeing, mountain biking, horseback, backpacking, and many more traditional camp activities. Our 1,000 acre facility adjoins a 6,000 acre state forest and is near Pisgah National Forest.

Set along a sparkling trout stream, Camp Arrowhead for Boys has over 200 acres of woodland, streams, meadows, and trails for boys to explore. Founded in 1937, the mission of Camp Arrowhead is to build the character, confidence, courage, and compassion of young boys through time honored camping traditions, exciting outdoor adventures, unique creatively focused programs, and the timeless teachings of Jesus Christ.

We have exceptional leadership. You expect it, we insist on it. All of our counselors are carefully chosen with your child's safety and expanding interests in the forefront of our planning. Our programming includes the traditional camp activities of hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, swimming, archery, fishing, and riflery- and we take it a step further by including blacksmithing, woodworking, and ceramics taught by craftsmen and artisans from all over the southeast.

The people, places, and traditions that have made Camp Arrowhead such a special experience for many generations are available for your son this coming summer. Falling Creek Camp is a private independent camp for boys located in the Western North Carolina mountains. Our program seeks to provide boys a maximum opportunity for growth and learning in a mountain setting.

The program includes traditional camp activities as well as many adventure experiences in backpacking, rock climbing, lake and white water canoeing and mountain biking.

TrailRidge is known as the "world's smallest camp" (enrollment limited to 16 campers per session.) Our program offers travel camp programs from one to five weeks in length in the North Carolina mountains and other places near and far.

A traditional summer camp for boys on a mountain lake in NC, with a non-competitive wilderness focus. The emphasis is on water (canoeing and kayaking, sailing, and swimming), woods (hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking), tennis, and horses, and includes the opportunity for lots of wilderness trips.

Camp Ridgecrest for Boys is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. We are a Christian camp with a recreational emphasis. We help our campers to grow physically and mentally through our skill classes, socially through interactions with the staff and their cabinmates, and spiritually through our cabin devotions and Morning Watch times. Our staff are strong Christian role models that are great examples for their campers. We are ACA accredited and members of Christian Camping International.
